Coffee

I’m writing this to officially introduce you to a friend of mine here in Uganda. Her name is Barbara Budeme. She is a Watoto child and has grown up in the Watoto village. She has completed a college education and has a degree in Food Science and Technology. She is in charge of all the Agriculture in the Sustainability Department in Watoto. Basically she looks after farming and grows crops for the individuals in the Watoto villages. She also grows maize (corn) for the goats on the goat farm. She overseas the goat farm also. The goat milk that is produced is transferred directly to the Watoto Babies Homes to feed the babies. Her story can be found on www.watoto.com under the subtitle 'Sponsorship.' Click on the drop down list titled “Barbara’s story.”

I introduce her to you because she is desiring to start up a small coffee business. She asked if I could help her find families in the U.S. that would be interested in purchasing coffee from Uganda. So if you are interested, please e-mail me at charitygray3@yahoo.com or message me on Facebook.

I am not sure about pricing and the specifics right now. She mainly just needs to get commitments from a minimum of 100 families to begin planning and begin the business.

Here is a small exert from her:

Coffee:

I would like to export Ugandan coffee to you.

Uganda Coffee:

In Uganda we have two types of coffee:

1. Arabica Coffee

2. Colonial Coffee

-Arabica Coffee is growing on high altitudes in my home village and district called Bugishu (Mbale). Arabica Coffee has a special flavor and is the best coffee and highly preferred in Uganda.

-Arabica Coffee comes in many kinds described by the roasters as, AAA (TRIPPLE A), AA (DOUBLE A), A, B, BB, etc. But AAA is the strongest coffee.

How to get it to you:

I am not planning to export so much, but I am interested in families where I could export 5-10kg per week maximum. The goal is to start with 100 families, but I am open to more families.

Requirement:

I will need postal addresses so that a package comes directly to the family.

Thanks so much!
